Kalundborg Green Energy
– Symbiosis
How to illustrate a symbiosis of green energy traveling from city to city
In Kalundborg there is something really unique which is the Kalundborg Symbiosis – It is all the heat created by the companies in Kalundborg which can be transferred to the other areas of Zeeland and heat up houses and factories.
Right now it is only in Kalundborg, but as there is such a large capacity of heat it is possible to expand the network. So the idea is to get the heat out from the city of Kalundborg and after it has heated up the areas where the pipelines are created the cold water returns to Kalundborg and helps to cool down the facilities which need cooling.
A pretty unique solution – And the best thing is that almost all of this heat is created on renewal energy sources.
The task was to illustrate the Kalundborg Symbiosis and how it could be expanded. So a lot of sketches to start it up after the design brief and a more precise illustration style which ended up in a final rendering in Adobe Illustrator so scalable vector graphics which looks sharp in PowerPoint but also sharp on a poster in A1 format.
